Their Matcha Anmitsu is a delightful dish featuring kanten jelly bathed in a sweet matcha syrup, generously topped with red bean paste. Interestingly, this dessert was originally a “staff meal” before being added to the menu.

Starting in May, they also serve Uji Matcha Shaved Ice, a refreshing treat made with high-quality matcha. At around 700 yen, it’s not only delicious but also reasonably priced.

Matcha-based sweets have become a global sensation. In 2025, there has been a temporary scarcity of matcha, causing many cake shops to temporarily remove matcha cakes from their menus. It’s understandable, considering how vibrant and irresistibly rich the flavor is—rivaling only chocolate and strawberries in terms of appeal.

We hope that with the production of high-quality matcha improving, supply increases, and prices decrease. Be sure to check out related articles like KAMAKURA TO HAYAMA: REFRESHING MATCHA DESSERTS and PLEASE ENJOY MATCHA AT THE BAMBOO TEMPLE IN KAMAKURA for more matcha-themed content.
