1.Fresh Gelato from GELATERIA SANTi
The fresh gelato uses local ingredients from the Shonan area and changes with the seasons. The photo on the right shows pistachio and rum raisin. A double scoop costs 550 yen.
“GELATERIA SANTi” is located in a deep spot opposite “Coquelicot” crepe shop on Onari Street, west exit of Kamakura Station. The charming exterior and the delightful approach to the shop are lovely.
As you proceed further and enter the shop with excitement, you will see the gelato showcase with tightly closed lids. These special containers, called “pozzetti,” are used to maintain freshness. The gelato, made with safe, additive-free ingredients, offers a refreshing and pure taste. With its adorable packaging, this gelato shop is currently very popular in Kamakura.
There is also a bench in the back right corner where you can sit and enjoy your gelato.

0467’s sweets shop has a loyal fan base. Located on Yuigahama Street, the nearest stations are Hase Station or Yuigahama Station. This shop is known for its delicious baked goods, and during the summer, they offer the “Cookie Chou Ice Cream,” which is a crispy chou cream filled with ice cream. It’s quite substantial, so you’ll need to take a big bite. The contrast between the crunchy chou and the creamy ice cream makes for a delightful treat.

3.Cute girls’ (kawaii-musumetachi) pudding with soft serve ice cream
Soft serve ice cream on top of pudding. My child loves the pudding here the most.
All the different types of puddings have cute appearances.
Near Hase Station, Kamakura’s popular pudding specialty shop “Kawaii Musumetachi” offers the most extensive variety of puddings. As the weather warms up, I crave their “Pudding Soft,” where soft serve ice cream is placed on selected puddings.
To enjoy it, you might start by eating the soft serve ice cream and then reach the pudding. Drizzle the accompanying syrup over it and delve into the pudding part. This double delicious collaboration of gentle, rich, and creamy pudding is a satisfying dessert, especially in hot weather.
You can also find their puddings at CIAL Kamakura Station, so do give them a try there as well.
There’s also counter seating for dining in. It’s a place where you can casually walk in alone.

4.LONG TRACK FOODS Cookie Sandwich
It’s a satisfying ice cream with plenty of substance.
The already famous Long Track’s Cookie Sandwich is quite a treat that requires a strong jaw! It’s delicious, with a substantial volume that pairs excellently with the vanilla ice cream. The cookies on both sides complement the ice cream perfectly—it’s irresistible.
Local fans often take it home, cutting it in half with a knife to savor it slowly. The flavors vary seasonally, making it a classic choice for those wanting to try new flavors.
It’s a stylish place curated by a talented stylist, so everything about it is fashionable. The small shop is filled with delicious delights, making it more than just an ice cream stop—perfect for finding souvenirs as well.

The matcha gelato at maximum intensity level, priced at 690 yen, has a deep color too!
Inside the Kamakura Nishiguchi store, they also handle Nambu teapot ironware. You can feel the love for tea.
Chacha is a famous matcha gelato and soft serve shop in Kamakura. Located conveniently along the way to tourist attractions, it has multiple stores. Known for its rich matcha flavor, it’s an oasis for matcha enthusiasts. The gelato made with high-quality matcha is popular not only in cold weather but especially in hot weather.
6.Similarly, Kamakura’s Chacha also offers matcha soft serve ice cream.
This one is also a ‘premium’ intensely flavored soft serve. Priced at 690 yen.
This is another specialty from Chacha in Kamakura—a rich soft serve ice cream topped generously with matcha powder. It’s served in a handheld style typical of soft serve, and you might feel like you’re indulging a bit extravagantly with it.

7.Momiji Chaya Mori Han’s Waffle Soft Serve
A waffle cone that allows you to enjoy matcha soft serve without it dripping slowly. Priced at 550 yen.
You can also enjoy popular desserts such as matcha tiramisu inside the shop.
They also have a variety of drinks, including some with sweet red bean paste inside.
Momiji Chaya, known for its popular “Matcha Tiramisu,” offers a convenient menu of drinks and soft serve ice cream at its Komachi Street store, perfect for eating on the go.
While their matcha soft serve ice cream is delicious, the standout feature of their waffle soft serve is undoubtedly its ability to be enjoyed leisurely without dripping. The waffle provides a comforting hold that allows you to stroll and enjoy it without haste.
However, it seems that eating while walking is prohibited on Komachi Street. It’s better to step away from the slightly crowded main street and enjoy a stroll down quieter side streets with this delightful treat.

8.The purple sweet potato soft serve at Imokichikan is also delicious.
The Komachi Street store of Imokichikan is always crowded with school trip students and younger customers. For students with limited pocket money, the 380 yen purple sweet potato soft serve here is a delightful treat. It’s delicious.
Previously, it gained fame when former President Obama enjoyed matcha soft serve at the Hase Daibutsu store (though it’s no longer available). Their sweet potato croquettes are also popular. I hope this shop remains a long-standing specialty of Kamakura.”
